Hiya Kimberly!
Welcome to planDisney and thank you so much for sending us your question! Disney trips with your family make the best magical memories, and I cannot wait for you and your family to experience the Disney magic together! With so many things to do and see, it is only natural that some members of your party might want to do something while others might not. Thankfully,
My Disney Experience truly allows us to plan our Disney trips to be fit our needs!
To answer your question, Kimberly: yes, you are able to make plans for your party without having everyone stay together! However, you most likely will need extra help from the lovely Cast Members, as they are the real magic makers here. Firstly, it is important to note that since
children under 13 cannot have their own My Disney Experience account, their profile and plans would be managed by their parents or guardians. Now, if your whole party is linked to each other's
Family & Friends Lists on My Disney Experience, you should be able to see each other's kids in your lists as well. However, I have found that these profiles sometimes do not appear, in which case a Cast Member will be able to help. If the rest of your party cannot already see the children's profiles in their Family & Friends List, I would highly recommend
calling (407) 939-4357, and a lovely Cast Member will be able to assist you.
Since you mentioned that certain people in your party are also applying for the
Disability Access Service, I also wanted to note that everyone in your party must be connected to their DAS in order to go on rides and attractions with them. This can be done in person either at a Guest Relations window at the main entrance of any of the four parks, or with a Guest Relations Cast Member inside the parks. If you ever need help, just look for their bright blue shirts and blue umbrellas! Also, if you do decide to have the DAS call and make advanced selections, remember that the rest of your party will have to enter the park before they can be added to these selections!
I hope this was helpful, Kimberly, and that you and your loved ones have the best day ever on your upcoming Disney vacation! If you have any other questions pop up in the time leading up to your vacation, don't hesitate to reach out. You and me, we're in a club now!
Have a magical day,
Ariane
