Hello there, Laura!
My family recently did a Walt Disney World Resort vacation with a group of seven, and it was so fun getting to experience the nighttime spectaculars and our favorite attractions together. That said, everyone moves at their own pace, so you can certainly all enter the theme parks at different times, split up to do different attractions, and more. We’ll just want to make sure that everyone is comfortable with the My Disney Experience app and has all of the bare necessities first.
First, everyone in your party will need their own
My Disney Experience account or profile. If there are any little Mousketeers in your party, whoever creates the child’s profile will manage the profile and all plans for that child. Once everyone has created their own account, you’ll want to link them to your
“My Family & Friends List.” You could find them through your already connected Guests, import their information from their hotel reservation, or simply enter their name and age. I like linking up with My Family & Friends via the app since you can add them to your list by simply scanning a linking code on their app.
Now that everyone is linked, everyone will need to confirm that they have the tickets linked to their
My Disney Experience accounts, a mode of entry (e.g.,
Disney MagicMobile pass,
Disney band, or a physical ticket from a ticket window), and a
theme park reservation for each day you plan on visiting a theme park.
For a large group, I always recommend having one sit-down
dining reservation in the afternoon or evening for everyone to reconnect and tell stories about their day. This is also a nice time to cool off and rest your feet after lots of walking around the theme parks. Did you know that Disney Resort hotel Guests can make reservations for their entire length of stay up to 60 days in advance of their vacation (for up to 10 nights)? This has allowed me to book popular reservations, like
Space 220 Restaurant, towards the end of my Walt Disney World Resort vacation.
May the magic be with you!Melanie
