Hi Lali and welcome to planDisney! Thank you so much for bringing your question our way. As we are all getting to know the ins and outs of the new
Disney Genie Service, I'm sure many other Guests are asking themselves some of these same questions!
It sounds like you are the planner in your bunch, just like me! When I go to the parks with my family or even when I'm with friends, I like to have everyone's ticket information linked to my account. It ensures smooth sailing when we are grabbing
Lightning Lane selections,
Mobile Ordering or adding ourselves to the
Mobile Dine Walk-Up lists.
While making memories together at the Happiest Place on Earth is a total dream, I know sometimes friends like to find their own magic and make a few separate plans throughout the day. I would suggest that each person in your party create their own
My Disneyland account and download the
Disneyland Mobile App. Once they have logged in as themselves, they can link their own ticket to their account by finding the three-bar menu button in the bottom right-hand corner of the app. Click into "Tickets and Passes" and then hit that "+" button. From here they should see the option to "Link Tickets and Passes" either by scanning the bar code directly from your phone or entering the ID number. This will allow them to navigate Genie+ and Lightning Lanes on their own, while you are still able to make plans for the group as a whole as head Mouseketeer!
Don't forget to look for those
Disney PhotoPass photographers sprinkled throughout the parks to capture all those special memories! One of my absolute favorite features of upgrading to Genie+ is the unlimited digital downloads of all the Disney PhotoPass photos from the day. The next best thing to experiencing the magic is remembering it!
Lali, I truly hope you found this helpful and are getting excited for your trip to the Disneyland Resort! So much excitement and adventure await! If you have any other questions as you continue planning, please feel free to reach back out to us. We are always here to help here at
planDisney.
Keep wishing on those stars,
Tara
