Does my group need to redeem our lightning lane reservations at the same time? Say our window is 1-2PM, can two people redeem their reservation at 1, and two redeem it at 1:30? Does this apply for both individual selections and those included with genie+?

    Hi Dominic!

Welcome to planDisney from a fellow Buckeye!  Are you as ready as I am to escape this crazy Ohio weather and spend a few days in the warm Florida sunshine?  It sounds like perfection right about now, if you ask me!  Since it seems like you're in full planning mode, be sure that you've added making your Disney Park Pass reservations to your to-do list, as well.  You'll need to make a theme park reservation for the first park you plan to visit each day in order to enter one of the four Walt Disney World theme parks.  The parks have been very busy during the last few weeks and we've even seen days where all four parks are fully booked, so I recommend making those reservations as soon as possible.  That way, you won't miss a moment of the fun during your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation!

The new Disney Genie+ service is a great way to add a little extra magic to a Walt Disney World theme park day, but it's even better when you can enjoy it with a group of friends or family.  But just because you're traveling as a group, that doesn't mean that you're going to stick together 100% of the time, right?  For that reason, I'm happy to report that each person in your party will be able to tap in for Lightning Lane access at any time during your reserved window (for both standard and Individual Lightning Lane attractions).  So if someone is ready to ride Seven Dwarves Mine Train at 1 PM and other members of your party don't want to board till 1:20 PM, everyone can enjoy the ride on their own schedule.

If your group is riding separately, though, you'll just want to keep in mind that if you're still within your 120-minute window, you won't be able to book an additional Lightning Lane until you tap into the ride.  That means half of your group would be eligible to book their next Lightning Lane after tapping in at 1 PM, while the rest of your group won't have access to their next ride till 1:20 PM.  If you're trying to book your Lightning Lanes together, you'll need to wait until everyone has entered the ride queue (or your 120-minute window expired) to make your next selection.

Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney, Dominic.  I'm wishing you lots of pixie-dusted adventures and plenty of Genie+ magic during your upcoming visit to Walt Disney World Resort!

    Happy Planning,
    Amy
