Hello! Our group is larger than average but not huge -- 7 people. Is it possible to split up dining reservations into smaller groups to make getting reservations possible? (ie a group of 4, a group of 3, etc.?) If not, how should I go about planning this?

    Howdy Ana!

Welcome back to planDisney!  It is always so exciting to see a guest stop by planDisney with another question!  Thank you for stopping by with this question!

When I travel to the Walt Disney World Resort, I always make all of Advanced Dining Reservations for our party, and most of the time, my party is ten or more.  Since you are looking to make reservations for a party of seven, I recommend calling the Walt Disney World Resort and speaking with a Cast Member in dining.  The Cast Member will arrange your party into multiple reservations if that is what is needed for the particular restaurant you are looking to book.  I recommend having a list of several restaurants to choose from for each day.  By giving the Cast Member a couple of options, you should be able to obtain a “Practically Perfect” reservation for your party!  The Cast Member in dining may divide your party up into two tables, and the reservations may not be at the exact time, but Hakuna Matata, No Worries!  Make sure to arrive at each reservation a little earlier than your reservation time and explain to the Cast Member at the restaurant which reservations are dining together. They will do their very best to seat your party as close as possible and in a timely manner!

Your vacation will be here before you know it, and the Walt Disney World Resort is doing a fantastic job keeping guests safe through proper physical distancing and minimal person-to-person contact!  To maintain this high standard, all guests are strongly encouraged to utilize the Mobile Food Order option on your My Disney Experience!  If you have used the Mobile Food Order option in the past, you already know how amazing this feature is!  If this is your first time using it, then I recommend being familiar with this option.  When you click on the Mobile Food Order option on your My Disney Experience App on your smartphone, you will see the option to “Create New Order.”  After you click on “Create New Order,” you will see a list of all the quick-service options.  You can even scan through the menus and decide which quick services would work best for everyone in your party!  My favorite part of the Mobile Food Order option is that you can choose your meal, modify it, and pay for it from your smartphone and no one has to stand in line!

Your vacation to the place “Where Dreams Come True” will be here before you know it!  To stay informed of everything to do and see during your visit, check out the Disney Parks Blog for all announcements.  If you have any more questions as you continue to plan your grand adventure, please come back to planDisney!  We are always here to help you with any questions to make your vacation unforgettable, Ana!
