A group of my friends and I are planning a trip to DW for December 2011. We're all in college so staying on a budget is really important. Do you have any suggestions for a place to stay? What about food and other extra expenses?

    Hello Pamela,

I wish my college friends and I would have planned a magical trip to Disney in our heyday! What great memories we would have made!

I'm not sure how many people will be in your party. But I think you might want to consider staying at a Moderate Resort. Yes, you'll pay a little more than a Value Resort, but you'll get a little more extra room too. And if your friends are anything like me and my friends were, you'll want that!

Port Orleans - French Quarter (POFQ) is my favorite Moderate Resort. No matter what building you're assigned, I feel like you're close to the lobby, food court, and pool. And all of the rooms have been recently renovated to include queen sized beds and granite countertops in the baths. It's Mardi Gras every day. And at neighboring Port Orleans - Riverside, you can check out Yehaa Bob at the lounge. You and your friends are sure to have a fabulous time!

My best advice is to make a budget and stick with it. If you need help finding the trip that fits all of you best, Disney has a Vacation Package Guide where you can customize your trip. You can make your Disney dreams come true, no matter what your budget!

    Happy trip planning!

My family loves our Main Street in Ohio. But there's simply no comparison to Main Street U.S.A.! We don't get to Disney quite as often as I'd like, but that just means finding new ways to sprinkle Pixie Dust on our adventures! Learn More About Monina
