Hello! There are 7 in our group Four adults, 2 children over 3 and one child under 3. Can some of us get Magic Bands but not all? What are the advantages of having one. We are not staying at a Disney resort. Thank you!

    Hello Debbie!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with an excellent question!

MagicBands are complimentary when you stay at a Disney Resort hotel, but can also be purchased by Guests staying at other hotels in the area. In this case, you will be able to use your MagicBand as your theme park ticket, check in at FastPass+ entrances, and link Disney PhotoPass photos taken by Disney PhotoPass photographers, as well as photos and videos captured at certain attractions to your Disney account. Not all members of your party have to have one, and those visiting without a MagicBand are welcome to use their cards (they resemble a plastic credit card) that they received when theme park admission tickets were purchased.

Moms Panel tip: please note that a MagicBand is required to redeem certain attraction photos and videos, so I suggest wearing one if you are planning on purchasing Memory Maker.

Thank you for stopping by once again! I hope this helps you plan a magical visit to the place “Where Dreams
    Come True”.

    Best Disney wishes,
