Hi, we are a group of 4A & 6K, and we want to do the Fantasmic dinner package at the Brown Derby on Nov 18. Since the show starts at 6:30, what time should we make our reservation for? Will the show still be good since it won't be dark yet? Thanks!

    Hi Jennifer,

The Fantasmic Dinner Pkg now allows you to dine at lunch or dinner at the Hollywood Brown Derby.  You could also choose Mama Melrose's Ristorante Italiano for lunch or dinner but Hollywood & Vine is still dinner only as part of the dinning package.  You may want to think about going to the Brown Derby for lunch instead of dinner. With 6 kids in your party (depending on their ages), they may be a little more fresh and not as tired as perhaps they would at a dinner reservation. That would also allow you plenty of time to enjoy your meal and not feel as rushed to finish and get to Fantasmic.

If you'd rather do dinner, allow yourself 1 to 1 1/2 hours for dinner (from the time you walk in until the time you walk out). The recommended arrival time at the Fantasmic theater for those with the dinning
package is 30 - 45 minutes.  You may even want to go a little earlier than that keeping in mind that your seats will be in a reserved section but the seats within the section are not & are available on a 1st come basis. If you may your dinner reservations between 4 p.m. and 4:15 p.m., you should be okay.

It should be plenty dark for Fantasmic that evening. We will have set out clocks back and the days will be getting shorter. Fantasmic is an awesome show (and not cheap to perform). I would bet that Disney takes everything (including the natural lighting) into consideration when scheduling times of evening parades and performances. Don't worry - its going to be - well you know -  magical :-)

Wishing you and your family and friends a trip of a lifetime :-)
