Hi Katrina,
Welcome to planDisney! You must be getting so excited—your magical
Walt Disney World Resort vacation is just around the corner! Since you’re within 60 days of arrival, now is the perfect time to secure your advance dining reservations if you haven’t already. If you’d like some recommendations for must-try
dining experiences, I’d be happy to help!
As for charging your group’s
electric conveyance vehicles (ECVs), your options may vary depending on which
Disney Resorts Collection hotel you’ll be calling home and the type of room you’ve booked. In my experience, many resort rooms—including studios—offer ample space to park and charge ECVs overnight with a bit of creative organizing. For example, during a recent stay at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside, we stored luggage under the beds, freeing up floor space that could easily accommodate multiple ECVs. Similarly, at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn, the entryway had enough space for two ECVs, with additional room inside for charging others.
While charging ECVs inside your room is typically the best option, I have seen Guests utilizing extension cords to charge in the hallway. However, Cast Members may need to relocate any ECVs that could block walkways or emergency exits. To ensure a smooth experience, I recommend speaking with the Front Desk upon check-in. They can offer guidance on the best setup for your room or suggest nearby charging options.
Bell Services may also be able to assist in accommodating your group’s needs.
If one or more of your Guests primarily need an ECV in the theme parks rather than at the resort, another option to consider is renting directly from the parks. This can free up space in your resort room while still providing the mobility support needed for your visit.
I hope this helps as you finalize your magical plans! If you have any more questions,
feel free to ask—I’d love to help make your trip as smooth and enjoyable as possible.
See you real soon!
