Our group of eight will be visiting Disneyland on Christmas 2026. My question is if we leave the park to go for dinner and rest will we be allowed back into the park that evening or will we risk being denied reentry because crowds are heavy?

Hey there, Kim! Welcome back to planDisney, the happiest corner of the internet. The Holidays at the Disneyland Resort is an incredibly magical time and I love to hear that you will be experiencing this with your group!

I am also a fan of the mid-day break. Taking some time to rest and recharge to feel fresh for an evening in the parks is something that I usually do when visiting Disneyland. Theme park reservations help to manage capacity, especially during one of the busier times of the year, the holiday season. There's no guarantee that a park won't reach capacity, however, it's fairly rare. While I can't make any guarantees, I do think that you will be okay for your visit.

I'm so excited for you and your visit during the merriest time of the year. One of my family's holiday traditions is to ride "it's a small world" Holiday and set sail on the merriest cruise there ever was. All of the twinkling lights are so whimsical and enchanting and really put you in a jolly mood. Be sure to keep an eye on Disney Parks Blog and follow @disneyland on Instagram for updates on holiday offerings as we get closer to the season.

Kim, while not a definite answer, I hope the information I shared is helpful. Please come back to see us with any other questions or planning tips that we can help with. I'll be sending you a dose of pixie dust as you continue to put things into place for your trip.
