We have a group of 5 different families including 6 adults and 9 children. Do you think it’s best for each family to get their own room?

How ya doin' Nichole and welcome to planDisney!

Large parties bring a special type of magic to the Walt Disney World Resort. One of my core memories is riding Pirates of the Caribbean with a huge group of some of my favorite people. There were so many of us we loaded up 2 full boats. And my next vacation includes a party of 10 so trust me I'm no stranger to traveling in a big bunch. I'm happy to tell you everything I know.

The rooms with the highest room occupancy on the property would be the Grand Villas. They can only accommodate 12 Guests so y'all will need multiple rooms no matter what. Besides that, I personally always think the magic lasts longer with a little space. I would recommend each family get their own room in the same Disney Resorts Collection hotel. That way you can all meet up easily for all of your plans. If y'all are feeling particularly adventurous, you can even spread out across several hotels like my family opted to do!

Pro-tip: A great budget-friendly option is Disney's Pop Century Resort. It's a value resort with the extra pixie dust of sharing a Disney Skyliner station with Disney's Art of Animation Resort. This fabulous transportation option goes to Disney's Hollywood Studios and EPCOT with stops at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort and Disney's Riviera Resort. As a matter of fact, my own family chose 2 of these locations as homes away from home for our own trip.

Nichole, please feel free to come back for another visit with me. I'd love to help you even more with your adventure!

    Happy planning!
