My 2 y/o and has never been in group childcare. I'd like to take her to the nursery on the Magic, but I'm worried she won't go. If I reserve time and she doesn't stay, will I be charged for the time? Can you recommend anything to make her more comfortable?

    Hi Mariah,

I'm so excited to hear that you'll be sailing on the Disney Magic!  It will be here before you know it.  It's a gorgeous ship, and there are so many magical things onboard to discover and enjoy:)

You don't pay for nursery care in advance of your trip.  There are, however, penalty charges that apply if you do have cancellations.  Don't worry, though...Disney Cruise Line understands that with all they have to offer onboard, plans are bound to change.  I think that the cancellation policy is very reasonable.

If you are cancelling the nursery, you can do so up to 4 hours prior to your reserved drop off time.  If it is less than 4 hours notice, you will be charged 50% of the nursery fee.  Most kids feel uncomfortable when they arrive; make sure that you take her to the nursery on the day of arrival so she can explore the nursery and become familiar with the staff.  Let them know your concerns...they are experienced and will be able to help.  I'm sure that you won't have any trouble getting her to stay there....it's a really fun place!

I hope this helps.  Please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.  Bon voyage Mariah!
