Hi Jessica! Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for stopping by!
I'm excited about your upcoming visit next month to the Most Magical Place on Earth! Traveling with large groups can sound intimidating but with the proper planning and the
My Disney Experience App by your side, you should have no trouble navigating your park days. To manage plans for everyone in your group, you'll need to link each Guest to your My Disney Experience account using the Family & Friends feature. With their permission, you will have access to make plans, such as making Lightning Lane and dining reservations.
In order for each family to be charged accordingly for
Disney Genie+, they will need to create their own
My Disney Experience account and have their tickets linked to their accounts. Each family will need to purchase Disney Genie+ each day using the app they downloaded to their mobile devices. All they will need to do is log on to the app, scroll down to the purple bar that reads "Disney Genie+ Service", and tap on "Purchase for Today". Once added, as long as you have the entire group listed under Family & Friends, you will be able to make plans for everyone. You can make the purchase each day for the entire group, but your account will be charged for the purchase. To keep the charges separate, let each family make the purchase on their own.
I hope you are planning to try
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind on your EPCOT day! This brand new attraction has been the talk of the town by everyone who has had the chance to ride it. This is the only attraction currently that is using the
Virtual Queue System, which you will be able to manage for everyone on your Family & Friends list. At 7 AM on your park day, log on to your app and tap on "Virtual Queue". Follow the prompts to secure your boarding group. If you are unsuccessful, you will have another chance at 1 PM to try again. The boarding groups fill up very quickly, so you will need to be ready to go each time. This attraction is also available by purchasing an Individual Lightning Lane entrance.
For
Individual Lightning Lane purchases, keeping the charges separate will be a bit more difficult. To make selections for the entire group, you'll need to pay for the purchase at the time of booking. The only way to separate the charges will be for the families to make their own Individual Lightning Lane reservations for similar times, but this will defeat the purpose of one Guest being in the charge of making all the plans. If you decide to purchase Individual Lightning Lanes, then I suggest having the rest of the group reimburse you for the charges.
Jessica, I hope this information helps you during your stay! Have a magical time on your vacation!
See ya real soon!
