Group of 5 adults and 1 toddler under 3. Wondering if the tickets should be purchased separately in case a portion of the group has to leave with the toddler? Can the tickets be accessed on multiple phones? best plan if we wanted to use Genie+

    Hi ya, Brittany!

Welcome to planDisney! It sounds like you have a great group coming to visit the Disneyland Resort with you. What a lucky little Mouseketeer, to get to visit with so many awesome adults! I'm sure they will love seeing the parks through the eyes of a toddler, there's truly nothing like it!

I would recommend purchasing your park tickets together to make sure everyone gets the same park reservations. But no worries, because tickets can easily be linked to multiple Disney accounts! If you're purchasing Disney Genie+ as a group then I absolutely recommend linking your tickets together so one person can make Lightning Lane selections for the whole party. The adults in your party should download the Disneyland Mobile App to link tickets to their accounts. It's pretty easy!

    • Tap the "☰" in the app to open the main menu
    • Select "Tickets and Passes"
    • Tap "Link Tickets & Passes"
    • You can use your camera to scan a ticket, tap someone's MagicBand+ when it's linked to their ticket, or enter the ID Number for your ticket
You can also link tickets to your Disneyland account on the website by clicking "My Disneyland" at the top right, then selecting "Link Tickets" and entering the ID Number on your tickets.

Make sure you pay attention in the app when you're selecting your party to purchase Disney Genie+, select Lightning Lanes, or join a Virtual Queue. If some of your group decides to leave the park for a break (with or without the toddler, no judgment here!) you can actually still include them in your future Lightning Lanes! Just let your friends or family know when they should be ready to rejoin your group to experience that attraction with you.

With such a strong adult-to-child ratio in your favor, I want to make sure you also know about Rider Switch! If your littlest party member isn't tall enough for a ride this is a great way to help the rest of your group enjoy the ride without doubling the wait time. We love to use the time waiting for our group to take a small kiddo to meet a character nearby, or grab a snack to share! I can't even tell you the number of times that I've left my kids with an aunt, uncle, or grandparent while I ride an attraction and come back to find them munching on a churro or with a new plush. It's a win for everyone...except my luggage when we're packing to go home!

Brittany, I am sending all my happy thoughts for you to have an amazing visit to the parks. Don't forget to visit Mickey's Toontown, it just reopened and I'm sure your whole group will love it...plus it's the perfect place to meet Mickey and his friends! If you have more questions about planning, please send me a note and I'll be thrilled to help you!

    Keep moving forward!
