We are a group of 15 adults & 5 children celebrating a 70th birthday. We are on the Disney Dining Plan. We will be in Disney Nov. 18-25, 2017. Suggestions for making reservations for a large group.

    Hi Jeanne,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Happy 70th birthday to your loved one!

I am thrilled that you have booked the Disney Dining Plan. First, be sure you create a My Disney Experience Account and create a profile for each person in your group. Or, if you have several families traveling together, you can have each family create a My Disney Experience account and then connect with each other through your "My Family & Friends Lists." I actually prefer the latter method with larger groups.

You can start making your reservations online 180 days in advance and I suggest that you do! While I generally advise guests to decide first which parks they will visit each day, you may need to go online to first check which restaurants can accommodate your group on each day given the size of your party. When I checked for the 18th, there were five restaurants that could accommodate your group for dinner but two of these were dinner shows.

Be sure that you schedule your Fast Pass+ selections for the same park where your restaurant is located if you are dining in a theme park. Doing so is especially important if you do not have Park Hopper tickets because you will need to make sure you are dining in the same park that you visit for the day.

If you cannot find a reservation by searching for a group of 20, you can try splitting the group into smaller parties but this means you may not be seated together. Also, remember that parties of six or more are automatically charged an 18% gratuity on the Disney Dining Plan.

If you cannot make reservations online, try calling 407-939-1947 to speak with a cast member in Dining.

Jeanne, I am sending pixie dust and patience to you as you plan!

Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
