We have a group of 7 (6 adults and an11yr old) going to disney for 6nights 7days. We have reservations at the Treehouses with standard dinning. Would we be better off with Port Orleans,2rooms, and the Deluxe dinning?

    Hi Tracy,

Oh, what a wonderful question!  There are many factors you'll need to take into consideration as you decide between a stay at the treehouses at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa and two rooms at Disney's Port Orleans Resort.  Between these two enchanting options, there's no clear victor; it really comes down to the preferences of your travel party.  But here are some things to consider:

    1.  The treehouses offer a full kitchen and private laundry facilities.  You won't find that at Disney's Port Orleans Resort.

    2.  Transportation to and from the Disney theme parks is easier from Disney's Port Orleans Resort (especially if you choose French Quarter over Riverside).  You will need to factor in additional travel time if you stay at the treehouses unless you have access to your own vehicle.

    3.  If you truly want to share your accommodations with your whole group, you'll find that the treehouses are a better option than two separate rooms at another resort.

    4.  Deluxe dining plans are fabulous if you plan to spend considerable time enjoying table service meals.  For my family, we have found that it is more food than we typically eat so we prefer the basic dining plan (that includes one quick service, one table service, and one snack credit per person each day).

I recommend that you decide which of the aforementioned factors is most important to you and then make your decision based on that.  Let me know if you'd like me to expand on any one of these points.  I'd be happy to tell you everything I know.

Best wishes for a vacation sprinkled with extra pixie dust!
