Check in at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge

    How do we get groceries from target or Walmart delivers to our hotel at carribean beach resort in Disney world. Do we place the order through the app once we get there or can we do it prior to arriving so it’s in our room already?

    Hey there Kristin!

    One of the great things about staying at a Disney Resort Hotel is not only being so close to the magic, but for how easy it is to have groceries and other items delivered over the course of your stay; in fact we just received an order this morning so I'm happy to lend my insight on the best ways to make it happen:

    • Depending on what you're planning on ordering (whether or not they'll be easier to carry yourself like snack or hefty cases of beverages), if you choose to place your order in advance of your arrival your items may be stored by Bell Services Cast Members on designated shelves until you get there. I highly recommend including as much information as possible when you place your order, such as indicating that you are a "GUEST" - or more importantly, the name of the lead guest as well as your arrival date on the reservation details.
    • Note that there are certain items such as alcoholic beverages that may not be accepted, and I personally always wait until after we've safely arrived and are checked in before placing any orders and just making use of what's available on site in the meantime. (In the past, we've even been magically upgraded and moved to completely different Disney Resort Hotel to our delight, which would've been a bit more challenging if we had to lug around our groceries at the same time.) This is also when I would want to pop by Bell Services just to let them know about an order we'd like to have delivered to our room and inquire about the fees applied for this service.
    • Alternatively, with all of the buildings that comprise Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, you may be better off communicating with your delivery person to meet with them closer to where you are located especially considering how spread out the layout is of each section of the resort.
