Hey there, Nancy! Welcome back to planDisney.
Nancy, it sounds like you're about to be cooking up some fun on your next trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth. Nancy, as a Disney Vacation Club Member, I love taking advantage of the kitchen (or kitchenette) in our villa, but more than that I love the option to grill! You'll be happy to know that the grills are still open for guest usage and in fact, my husband grilled up some hotdogs when my family was at
Disney's Old Key West Resort in August.
Nancy, while you will see some
gas grill options at other Disney Vacation Club Resorts across property, at
Disney's BoardWalk Villas,
you will find Charcoal grills. These are available near the tennis courts AND near the quiet pools. They are first-come, first-served and charcoal can be purchased at the Screen Door General Store if you didn't have room to pack that in your suitcase.
Nancy, if someone in your party is hoping to work up an appetite on horseback then I have great news.
Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort is still offering pony rides. If this is something you're adding to your itinerary, make sure to review the
height and weight restrictions before you mosey on over there.
Finally, you mentioned parking. Nancy, as a Disney Vacation Club Member, parking at your resort (regardless of whether you are staying on points or booked as a cash stay) is complimentary. If you're driving your own car over to Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort, make sure to let the Cast Member know that you are a current onsite guest and you're headed to the
Tri-Circle-D Ranch. From there they will direct you where to park.
I hope this helps as you are looking ahead to your upcoming vacation. Wishing you a trip full of unforgettable moments. Nancy, please come on back and see us here at planDisney with any other questions you might have!
