Greetings, This is our first trip to Disney World. We were wondering if we should pay for a town car for the trip from the airport to our resort. Or use the free Disney transportation. Will the Town car save us time? Thanks

    Hi Gwendolyn,

I am a big fan of Disney's Magical Express for a number of reasons.  First, by affixing the special baggage tags that Disney sends you to your luggage, you can bypass baggage claim at Orlando International Airport, and head directly for your bus (and resort).  This is a big time saver.  Your bags will be delivered to your resort room several hours after you check in, so be sure to carry on anything you might need immediate access to upon arriving.  Secondly, Magical Express is free for guests staying onsite at a Disney resort.  A taxi will cost you between $50 and $65 dollars (plus tip and tolls) depending upon where you are staying, and private car services can cost even more.  I'd much rather use that money for a special character meal or a souvenir (or two).  The Magical Express buses generally make two or three resort stops on each route, so depending upon where your resort is in the route, you may stop at another resort before you arrive at your vacation home.  However, I have always found the drivers to be very efficient, and the ride always seems quick.  My kids love riding the bus, and especially enjoy watching the video presented onboard that always gets them excited about our upcoming vacation.

If you chose to take private transportation, you can easily find taxis waiting at the arrivals locations at each terminal.

    Have a wonderful trip!
