    Greetings I saw that the wine and dine half marathon filled within an hour this morning. I'm planning on running in the 2016 WDW Marathon this upcoming January. Does registration for that race usually fill that quickly?  Thank you

    Hello Michael,

    Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! You are correct, registration for the Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon sold-out in about half an hour. A record for this particular race. 

    I can assure you the Walt Disney World® Marathon will not sell-out that quickly. Though I do advise going ahead and registering when it opens to the public on April 28th. Walt Disney World® Marathon Weekend presented by Cigna® is runDisney's premier race weekend with the largest field of runners. Allowing for a lot more registration opportunities than the smaller races like the Wine & Dine. In addition, with four race distances and two race challenges available, there is a lot more to choose from. The full Marathon is typically the last event to sell-out.
