Greetings.. I am wondering if you will be doing the Christmas orchestra presentation in Epcot across from the American Pavillion this December 2021

    Season's Greetings, Caroline!

Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question.

Although "Season's Greetings" is probably a bit premature, it's never too early to start thinking about and planning for the holidays! Even in the heat of summer, I'm already thinking about the holiday season at The Most Magical Place on Earth. My family loves to visit Walt Disney World Resort during the holidays every year, and I can't think of a better way to celebrate the season than with a Disney vacation.

The orchestra presentation you mentioned is the Candlelight Processional, part of the Taste of Epcot International Festival of the Holidays, an annual event held in World Showcase in Epcot during November and December. The Candlelight Processional presents the biblical story of Christmas through spoken word and song, and is a Christmas tradition for many Guests. A 50-piece orchestra and a mass choir perform gorgeous Christmas songs, and celebrity narrators tell the story of Christ's birth during this must-see event. My heart is always full after seeing the show each year - it's such a beautiful telling of the story of the true meaning of Christmas! Over the years, my family has enjoyed getting to see such amazing celebrity narrators as Monique Coleman (Disney's High School Musical), James Denton (Desperate Housewives), Pat Sajak (Wheel of Fortune), Steven Curtis Chapman (Contemporary Christian singer), and the amazing Neil Patrick Harris.

In 2020, Walt Disney World sadly had to cancel this special holiday event. As it is a favorite of many Guests, I am very hopeful that the Candlelight Processional can and will return in some form in 2021. I'm certain that Disney is taking all safety and health measures into careful consideration as they make plans for holiday offerings this year.

I encourage you to keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog and Walt Disney World on Facebook and Twitter for the most up-to-date announcements regarding the Epcot International Festival of the Holidays and the Candlelight Processional. I truly hope that this beautiful holiday celebration will be able to be enjoyed by Guests once again soon.

Thanks again for visiting planDisney - have a magical day!
