Greetings... We will be visiting WDW from April 29th through May 6th and would like to get some insight on the crowds as well as the weather.

    Hello, Rhonda!

What a great time of year to head to Walt Disney World!

Both the weather and the crowd level will be in your favor, so you've really picked a perfect time to visit.

During this time of year, you are arriving after the Spring Break crowds have left, as well as those who visit during Easter Week, since so many schools are closed for all or much of that week.  Many colleges, too, have not yet let out, and local schools are still in session.  Plus, regarding special dates, only Cinco de Mayo falls during your stay (maybe a trip to Mexico in Epcot would be crowded, but surely extra fun that day!)  Thus, crowds will be present, but will be significantly lower than peak season.  Excellent timing!

Regarding weather, according to weather.com, the average low at this time is around 60 degrees and the average high can be around 86 / 87 degrees.  For my family, this would mean that we'd need light jackets in the evening and for early mornings, but shorts and T-shirts for the rest of the day.

See what I mean about a beautiful time of year to head to Walt Disney World?  What great planning on your part! Should you have any additional questions about your trip, please send them our way! We love to help!
