Hi there, Jaimee!
How exciting to be preparing for a visit to the Disneyland Resort. You and your little Mouseketeer are going to have a magical time.
You are correct. Wagons are
not permitted at the Disneyland Resort. That means that
stroller wagons are also not permitted. These rules are established for safety and to promote a positive experience for all Guests visiting the theme parks. In some cases, exceptions may be granted by the security Cast Members who evaluate needs on an individual basis. These cases are usually related to accommodations for
Guests with disabilities and their strollers are given a special tag that indicates their status as an assistive device.
Jaimee, if you don’t happen to have a stroller that conforms to the
stroller requirements, “hakuna matata!” It means “no worries.” That’s because
stroller rentals are available to Guests who need them. Just stop by the rental facility right outside the entrance to Disneyland Park. There are even double strollers available too!
Tony’s Tip: When our little ones were even smaller, we made use of strollers to help save steps for them. We found it a useful tool to help those with shorter legs endure a long day from park opening to
nighttime spectacular. Now that we have outgrown the stroller phase of our lives, we compensate by making sure we take an afternoon break. Whether it’s a nap in our
Disneyland Resort Hotel room or a leisurely “grand circle tour” aboard the
Disneyland Railroad, that time to recharge has become very important for us to help avoid tired meltdowns. Even my wife and kids benefit too! Ha ha!
Thanks for your question for us here at planDisney, Jaimee. If there is anything else we can help with, please don’t hesitate to ask.
