Greetings! Can you tell me what Disney park apps there are and what networks each one works on? I am highly interested in the app for DW park with character locations, ride times, etc but dont know what network this works on. See you in December!

    Hi Alison!

This is a great question and a difficult question!  There are easily over 100 mobile phone applications out there for guests to use, but I personally only recommend three of them in general.  It is not that I don't think the others have anything to offer; I have seen a lot of great Disney applications with a user friendly interface.  Instead it is just that I think these three applications provide a complete set of information and services.

I suggest trying to get Disney's Mobile Magic for your phone and Disney's My Disney Experience.  The last time I checked, the My Disney Experience was only available for the iPhone but it would run on multiple cellular networks that support the iPhone.  Disney's Mobile Magic is available for a variety of phones.  Both provide official Disney information on what's going on in the parks, including character locations.

My favorite independent application is Lines from TouringPlans.com.  Touring Plans is the independent website for the research team behind the tour book "The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World:.  Lines does not have access to official Disney wait time information, but instead draws on a huge historical database, statistical algorithms, and user inputs.  Lines is my favorite Disney mobile wait time applications and I use it all of the time in the parks. Lines is available for any smart phone that can access the internet.

I hope this helps!  Please write back with more questions!
