Greetings!! We are planning a trip from NY to DL for Dec 21st. I have a 5 year old girl& a 7 year old son. What is the weather like & what "especially magical" activities should I try to reserve or book now?? ALL suggestions greatly appr

    Hi, Nancy!

I’m happy to hear you’re planning a visit to the Disneyland Resort. The pixie-dusted seasonal touches make “The Happiest Place on Earth” even more delightful! The high temperatures in December are typically in the low- to mid-70s with evenings in the high-40s to low-50s. There can be a fair amount of rain in December in Southern California, so be prepared.

Make at least one character dining meal a part of your vacation. The Disneyland Resort character dining locations include Plaza Inn at Disneyland Park, Ariel’s Grotto at Disney California Adventure Park, Storytellers Café at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, Disney’s PCH Grill at Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel and Goofy’s Kitchen at the Disneyland Hotel. Dining reservations are recommended and can be made up to 60 days in advance by calling (714) 781-DINE (3463).

Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is the perfect way to pamper your daughter! There are several makeover packages to choose from that will add a big dose of magic to her day. Then, be sure to visit Fantasy Faire, a whimsical storybook village next to Sleeping Beauty Castle where the stories of Disney's fairy tale princesses and princes come to life!

The Jedi Training Academy might be a fun option for your son. Young Padawan trainees are randomly chosen from the audience immediately prior to the show at Tomorrowland Terrace. Although being chosen to participate is not guaranteed, he may have a better chance of being selected if he stands out from the crowd. The Jedi Master will be on the lookout for especially enthusiastic recruits who are eager to learn and bursting with excitement, so plan to arrive early and snag a spot close to the stage!

I hope this helps, Nancy. Please ask me any other questions you may have as you continue to plan your pixie-dusted vacation!

    Wishing you magic,
    Courtney
