Greetings, I am planning our first family vacation to WDW! We are so excited, we are going to do 3-days at Disney and then do the five day cruise! Would love your advise on how to handle transportation from the hotel to the ship? Thank you!!

    Hi, Khadijah!

You sound like you have a wonderful family vacation planned -- and it's your first time together to Walt Disney World (WDW)? That's fantastic!  You're sure to have the time of your lives!

From a WDW resort to Port Canaveral, you can either hire a car service or a taxi for the one-hour commute to the port, or you can book ground transportation through Disney Cruise Line (DCL) by calling (800) 951-3532 or by going online to DisneyCruise.com to the Planning Center.  Round-trip motorcoach transportation costs about $70 per person, and luggage handling is included.  Once you turn over your bags at the resort, you won't see them again until they magically arrive in your stateroom.

After you return from your voyage, you will collect your luggage in the port terminal, proceed through US Customs and then board your motorcoach for transportation to the Orlando International Airport -- or you can head back to WDW if you'd like. I hope this helps you plan.

Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
