Greetings from LA! Planning a stay at The Cabins at FW. Golf carts seem to be highly recommended. Is it possible to bring your own golf cart to use on the grounds? Or do you have to rent one of Disney's?

    Hi Joy!

While I have never stayed at Fort Wilderness, I hear that Golf Carts are THE way to travel around the grounds!  I spoke with the folks at Fort Wilderness and was told that it is possible to bring your own cart.  It simply must meet the guidelines set forth by the Florida Department of Transportation and that it must be electric.  I actually called twice, just to make sure that you don't haul your golf cart all the way to Florida for nothing!

It's always great hearing from another Louisiana gal!
