Welcome, Foolish Mort –– er, Jennifer! Kindly step all the way in please, there's no turning back now...
As a fellow
Disney Vacation Club Member and Halloween nut, I'm so glad you brought your question to planDisney. There's nothing better than visiting
Disneyland Resort during Spooky Season –– from exclusive after-hours events and villainous decorations, to all those
frightfully-delightful snacks, you'll find Halloween touches and Happy Haunts around every corner. How exciting to hear that you're planning a spooktacular Disneyland visit this year!
I think one of the coolest things about a
Disneyland Halloween is that it isn't confined to just October –– you have months to enjoy all the fun because the season officially runs from the beginning of September through October 31st. The transition to Christmas decorations usually takes place during the first week of November, before the Holiday festivities officially kick-off around Veterans' Day, so if you're planning a stay during the first week of November, you might even get to see the parks magically transition from one season to another overnight. I haven't gotten to see this happen at Disneyland, but I witnessed it at Walt Disney World last year and it was
so cool (almost like getting two vacations in one)!!!!
And while dates haven't been announced for
Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party yet, I can tell you that last year the event ran from September 9th to October 31st on select nights. I would expect this year's event to follow a similar pattern, and with its popularity, I wouldn't even be surprised to see it start a little sooner. Once the dates have been announced, I recommend purchasing your tickets as soon as possible because these events fill up
fast. For all the latest news and details about Halloween Time at Disneyland Resort, be sure to keep an eye on
Disney Parks Blog as your trip approaches!
Jennifer, If you think of anything else, I hope you'll hurry back to planDisney and don't forget to bring your Death Certific –– I mean question!
Happy Hauntings,
Amy
