Greetings! We are headed to WDW in 11 days! I am suddenly wondering if our reservations at both the NINE DRAGONS restaurant at Epcot, and MAMA MELROSE at Hollywood Studios will be appropriate places for dinner, with our five year old daughter? Thank you!

Oh, don't worry.  There are very few locations on property that aren't appropriate for children.

I've not had the opportunity to dine at Nine Dragons since it re-opened but I did just take my four children (ranging in age from 2-14) to Mama Melrose a couple of weeks ago.  They were far from the only children in the dining room, in fact, I think it's probably more uncommon to see a table without children.

If your only concern is whether or not the ambience is suitable for a child, then you shouldn't worry.  I know what it's like to dine with young children, but at Walt Disney World, kids are everywhere!  You may want to bring along some quiet activities to help occupy her time if she tends to get inpatient waiting for her meal.  Coloring books, stickers, and small toys are all good options.

As for the menu offerings, Mama Melrose offers kid's staple items like pizza and pasta.  The kid's menu for Nine Dragons, though, is slightly more adventurous.  You can check it out before you go by visiting allearsnet.com.

    Hope that helps!
