Greetings! My family (wife, 5 y/o son, 3 y/o daughter) and I head out on our 1st Disney Cruise on the Wonder from Vancouver to SD 9/28. Looking for kid friendly activities in Victoria (DinoLand?), and tips or recommendations for the cruise in general. Thx!

    Hi, Chris!

You and your family must be so excited for your first Disney Cruise Line adventure! The Disney Wonder is a great ship for your first cruise as it is very family friendly with an amazing crew, and the size of the ship is very manageable and easy to navigate. I am attaching a podcast some of my planDisney pals filmed that has tips for first time cruisers. Take a peek - I think you will find it helpful!

Your kids are going to love all the activities taking place in the Oceaneer Club. This activity center is exclusively for young sailors ages 3-10. They will enjoy crafts, games, movies, and hanging out with other kids their age. On embarkation day, stop by for a tour and to see all that is planned during your sailing. The counselors will be available to answer any questions and to explain the process to check your kids in and out of the club.

While the kids are enjoying the Oceaneer Club, you might want to treat your wife to a day at the Senses Spa and Salon. Tours are available so stop by to see how to pamper yourselves during your cruise.

Another way to spend some kid-free time is at Palo, an adult only restaurant featuring Northern Italian cuisine. Reservations may be made for brunch or dinner. The food is always amazing, and your servers will treat you like royalty. Reservations may be made prior to boarding (you are sailing soon, so check availability).

Your ship will be docking at Victoria British Columbia as a Port of Call. Your family might enjoy a visit to Market Square for some shopping, dining, and sight-seeing. For an organized activity, look through the list of Port Adventures. Take in the sights on a Horse-Drawn Trolley Tour or take a Whale Watching Tour. Port Adventures may be booked before your cruise for best selection or stop by the Port Adventures desk located on deck 3 once onboard.

To keep up with all the onboard activities, have the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app downloaded on your phones so you do not miss any of the fun. Check showtimes, menus, movie schedules, and so much more.

I hope you have a magical cruise as you sail on the Disney Wonder. Captains Mickey and Minnie cannot wait to see you onboard real soon!
