    Greetings! We have booked a speciality cruise for a B-day and Illuminations watching? Is this something we should be prepared to provide a tip for the crew or what recommendations would you advise? Thx so much for your help!

    Hi Michele!  You are not required to tip the boat pilot, "captain" for these cruises however depending on your experience it is a nice gesture if you have enjoyed the evening. In the past we have tipped and have had some wonderful cast members who shared some wonderful stories of their years with Disney or were cordially quiet knowing that is more the experience we were looking for.  If you enjoy this excursion then by all means leave a small token of thanks with a tip.  Consider tipping in accordance with what you would do for a meal.

    Since it is a birthday cruise as well as an Illuminations cruise make sure you order a wonderful cake and drinks for this evening. You can order through the private dining at the Yacht and Beach resorts and they will deliver it to the boats for you.  They will have the plates and forks and anything else you might need.  In the past we have ordered the wonderful Mickey face cake which is delicious or chocolate covered strawberries and champagne.  Chip snacks and sodas and water are part of the cruise so those don't need to be ordered extra. 

    Have a wonderful time...this is my favorite fireworks cruise on property!
