Ahoy there, Nicole! I'm so glad you've managed to convince everyone that "life is the bubbles" ON the sea, and that the seaweed is indeed greener on
the ships of the Disney Cruise Line fleet! I can't wait for you and your crew of 14 to have the time of your lives!
Sacre bleu, what is this? Not only is it a family cruise, but a birthday and
holiday celebration as well? Now that's what I call a reason for a Disney Cruise Line vacation!
I know it can be difficult to wait, but as of now,
Disney Cruise Line itineraries are only available to book through September 2023, and that batch of late summer itineraries was just announced several weeks ago. I have to remind myself that there's never been a year so jam-packed with such a long season of itineraries leaving from California, a new ship's maiden voyage in the Disney Wish, and some home port changes across the fleet! With all that commotion, I'd suspect we're still a bit far from port when it comes to the fall itineraries, but we're due to see land on the horizon soon! I don't know when, I don't know how, but I feel something should be starting not far from now...based on previous announcements, that is.
I always like to keep a weather eye on the
Disney Parks Blog and the "What's New" section under "Cruise With Disney" on the Disney Cruise Line website for the latest announcements - especially since once new itineraries are released is the best time to book for stateroom availability and (usually) pricing - you may hear otherwise from Scuttle, but let's be honest, his understanding of the human world is...let's say suspect at best. Haha!
With a group of 14 to plan for, I definitely suggest checking the dates that are currently available this year to get a sense of what ports, itineraries, and
Port Adventures have been part of the cruises you're considering! That should also help you decide what types of staterooms you and your crew would like to stay in.
Here's a planDrew-approved tip for you: when it comes to planning for 14, it may seem like a lot of coordinating, but you can actually book up to four staterooms on a single reservation! With most rooms sleeping at least four Guests, that should give you plenty of room to get your entire crew in a single reservation - no bargain with a sea witch necessary!
Well, Nicole, I hope that helps you prepare to make a Disney Cruise Line vacation part of your world on the high seas next November! Thank you so much for your question, and if any others sprout legs, you know where to find me here at planDisney. I'll always be able to lend a hand to your group of Mer-People, so send me a message in a bottle any time!
Here's to finding every thingamabob you're searching for!
