We had a great 1st trip last Sept at the AOA in a LM room! This year would l would like to stay at either PORS or CSR. We weren't crazy about the hike to our room after a long day at the parks. How does AOA compare in size to PORS & CSR?

Hi Sharon! I agree that some resorts will end up with hikes to your room and they are not just in the moderate and value categories. It is hard to offer great accommodations to all guests without having some distance for some rooms. You can always request for something close to the lobby area when making a reservation but it is just a request and can't be guaranteed.

The new Art of Animation resort is unique with their family suites and pools. But they too will have some locations and buildings that will require a hike back from the bus. This resort has one bus area and does not include internal stops. Your Finding Nemo buildings will be the closest to the main pool and lobby. The Lion King buildings are also quite close and closest to the bus stop. Building 1 and 3 of the Cars Buildings are convenient too. Building 2 in this theme is a bit more of a distance.  Building 7, 8 and 9 of the Little Mermaid regular rooms buildings are the furthest. Building 8 is the longest distance of these three. I think you might really enjoy the difference with the rooms and facilities of this resort if you can choose a family suite. It might be the perfect time to try something different on your next Disney visit!

Please note that the beds will be doubles in the Little Mermaid rooms but there will be a queen bed in the bedroom of the family suites. These will also offer you two bathrooms and other bed options in the living area. Add to that is a nice kitchenette giving you the ability to warm up things in the microwave and store things in the refrigerator.
