What are some great things to do when traveling with a 10 and 12 year old? what's great for that age?

    Hi, Linda!

Just sit back and try to keep up with your 10 and 12 year old!  They are certainly at a perfect age for Disney. They have the energy to go all day and still love the characters, attractions, parades and more!  My kids are 12 and 9, here are some of their favorites:

-Rent Sea Raycers at one of the Disney Resort Marinas
-Dinner at Whispering Canyon at Wilderness Lodge
    -MiniGolf at Winter Summerland
-Rent a Surrey Bike at the Boardwalk
-Don't underestimate the power of time at the pool!  Toss in a refillable mug for the food court and they are happy for the whole afternoon!
-Thrill rides!  Expedition Everest, Space Mountain, and Rock 'n' Roller Coaster!
-Fun meals like Sci-Fi Dine-In Theatre or 50's Prime Time Cafe, both in Hollywood Studios
-Rainy day?  Catch a movie at Downtown Disney
-Beat the heat with a day at a Water Park
    -Shopping at Downtown Disney

The fun never ends!  If your kids have a special interest, let me know and I can help find activities for you.  Enjoy!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is sailing with Disney Cruise Line, running (or cheering!) at runDisney events, taking hula lessons at Aulani, or vacationing at the Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. I am proud to be a part of the planDisney team and cannot wait to share my tips and advice for a magical vacation
