Great site .My question is my wife and I are heading to disney world in september. We booked the all star music but not sure if it was a good choice. Are you able to upgrade when you arrive ? Want to put a little romance into the holiday thank you

    Hi Blair,

All Star Music is a great resort.  It's fun, it's bright and colorful, and the price is right.  However, I wouldn't exactly call it romantic.  If there is availability, you can certainly upgrade to a different resort.  My husband and I did this once, and it was really quite easy.  Resort staff even helped us get to our new resort, so we didn't have to worry about transferring our luggage.  Alternatively, you could split up your vacation by spending a few nights in a value resort and moving mid-vacation to a different resort.

If you're looking for a change of scenery, Port Orleans Riverside is a nice, moderate resort.  If you want to go deluxe, I recommend Animal Kingdom Lodge or Boardwalk Resort.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
