hi Moms, Great reading. My question is this, I have purchased the Dining Plan for our trip this coming August. what is the difference between a table service meal and a quick service meal?

    Hi Scott,

A table service meal is at a sit down restaurant.  You will be served by a waiter or waitress and you will be able to order a beverage, entree, and dessert from the menu.  These restaurants tend to be very popular and advanced reservations are recommended.  You can reserve a seat 180 days in advance by calling (407)WDW-DINE.  Most people do leave gratuity ,as it is not included in the dining plan.

A quick service meal is usually ordered at a counter and then brought back to table that are first come - first service.  I wouldn't call these restaurants fast food because in WDW they are so many healthy and tasty choices at the counter styled restaurants.  Depending on the restaurant you choose, you can enjoy entrees like, fresh deli wraps, roasted chicken, pizza, hamburgers, salads, etc.  With the dining plan you will be able to get a beverage, an entree, and a dessert.  There may also be an option for a combo meal that will include a side dish like fresh fruit or french fries.
