Hello great panel wonderful help. Staying at AOA in 23 days can't wait. I have three children 14,12,11 will they enjoy AOA or is this geared toward younger children? Thanks for all the great answers

    Hi Christina,

I just toured Disney's Art of Animation Resort earlier this summer.  I visited the resort as I hoped to decide whether it would be appropriate for the teenagers I accompany on school trips.  While this resort will clearly be enchanting to young children, I feel that older kids (myself included) will enjoy it as well. I hope to stay there with twelve graduating seniors next spring.  Photo opportunities are abundant throughout the resort and if your kids have seen The Lion King, Cars, and Finding Nemo, I think they'll appreciate the feeling of being immersed in these films.

If, however, your tweens and teen are looking for a pool with a slide, then Disney's Art of Animation Resort may not be the best fit.  While the pools here are fabulous, they do not have slides.  For some older children, that's a disappointment.  Be sure to consult with your kids as to whether this will be a deal breaker for them.

However, I do think your children will appreciate all the tasty and daring dining options at the Landscape of Flavors food court.  I really appreciated the varied and sophisticated options for guests at this resort.

Send us a follow-up question if there's anything more you'd like to know about this exciting new resort.  You can also check a resort review I posted at www.orbitz.com/blog last week.  Just search "Art of Animation" when you reach the Orbitz blog.

    Best wishes,
    Jill
