Hi moms great panel, am just trying to nail down everything coming down next month. Can you tell me if the rides let you get on with sandles or flip flops or should we wear sneakers to all the parks staying 7 days

    Rachelle:

I believe the only ride on which you might have problems with flip flops would be Soarin' as you are left with your feet dangling in the air!  But I have found that many folks just take off their shoes and leave them at their take-off/landing spot (and I believe on my last visit, that Disney recommend you do this--bet they're tired of having to find lost shoes!)

With all this said, though, I heartily recommend you wearing moisture-absorbing socks and tennis shoes to the parks.  With so much walking, you will enjoy yourself a lot more if you are not coddling a blister.  And take it from me, I wore new sandals on my last visit just a few weeks ago and had blisters for two weeks.  Even though my motto is taken from the old Saturday Night Live skit "it's not how you feel, it's how you look,"  I've decided to just purchase different color sneakers in the future to look fashionable!

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
