Hi, great panel ,love all the info! My ?.. IF there is going to be free dining in 2010, when would it likely be announced. Thanks

    Hi Patricia!

Thank you so much for the compliments on the panel. I'm glad you have found us helpful!

I can certainly understand your anticipation for this great offer. I was in the same situation for this year. I can tell you that this year Disney announced the free dining promotion during the last week of March. It was first offered to Disney Visa cardholders and a few days later was offered to the general public.

Before this offer was released, Disney sent out "pin code" e-mails and postcards with the free dining promotion. These pin code offers are very random. I would suggest making sure that you are registered on the Disney website and that your name, address and all contact information is correct. Only the person whose name appears on the pin code offer can use it. I've personally had a frustrating experience regarding these codes when I received an offer that had my mom's name on it instead of mine which meant that I couldn't take advantage of it. The offers are sent out on occasion with offers ranging from great room rates to free dining.

Last year there was also a "bounce back" offered to guests staying during free dining. If they booked their vacation while still at WDW for this year, they got the dining plan for free. The bounce back offers also change from time to time and they aren't always available. If there is one being offered at the time of your trip, you will usually see a flier in your resort room advertising it. You can also check with your resort front desk or concierge to see if anything is being offered.

So, there is no way to know for sure if free dining will be offered again next year. It has been an ongoing promotion for the last few years, but we will all just have to wait and see!
