Great Panel! We are headed down at the end of July and I was wondering if I Can overpay on my vacation so my incidentals and tips have been prepaid before I get to my resort- thanks

    Hi Kimberly,

It is possible to put extra cash on your Disney resort account.  My recommendation would be to do this at the time you check in at your home resort.  You may as well let the money sit in an interest-bearing account until late July.  Then withdraw it before your trip and ask the Cast Member to apply it to your account upon arrival.  Then you can simply charge your incidentals and tips directly to your room using your Key to the World cards (room key) and those costs will be deducted from the cash you left at the front desk.

Another option, of course, is to leave a credit card on file at your home resort. You can do this through on-line check-in or at your time of arrival.  Then the bill for your incidental expenses will be sent to you from your credit card company after your trip.  That would eliminate the need for you to take cash or gift cards with you on your trip.  Again, your money could sit in an interest-bearing account until the credit card bill arrives.

Have fun in July!  Thanks for posting your question to the Moms Panel.
