Hi to the Great panel of Mom's and Dad's. As a family of 6 (kids 11,9 & 5). We are arriving 12/16 & leaving early 12/24. We plan to visit parks on the days they offer extra magic hrs in the evenings. Are the crowds less during the day? Suggestion

Hi Gloria!  Unfortunately the parks that have the Extra Magic Hours in the evening are often more crowded during the day. If you have Park Hopper tickets we suggest that you enjoy another park during the day and then return to the Extra Magic Hours park for that time in the evening.  If you do not have the Park Hopper passes you can enjoy the park in the morning, head back to your resort for the afternoon hours to enjoy the pool or other recreation, then return back to the park for the extra hours.  Mid day in any park is the most crowded time so if you can avoid that you will have a better chance of avoiding the longest lines.  If you do choose to stay in the park then choose attractions during the mid day that handle crowds best and hit those that are the most popular early in the morning or later that evening!
