Great info on the snacks! However, how do you know if a snack is covered by the dining plan without carrying around the lists that you provided? I have heard some of the snack kiosk locations are not covered and some are. Thanks for all your help!

    Hi Terry,

It really is trial and error.  You are right that some locations work and some don't.  I have found many Snack Options that will work on the Dining Plan just from picking up an item that first of all I would be interested in, $4.00 or under and (most of the time) not in a container that can be used later on as a souvenir (although I have found a few exceptions to the rule here as well).  I would ask the cast member first of all about specific items and if he/she said they weren't sure then I would ask them to try scanning it to the card as a snack option and many times these items I have found to work on the dining plan even when a cast member was not sure.  I find it easy to carry this printed list around with me so I have an idea where I would like to pick up a specific snack during the day at either one of the Parks or WDW Resorts without having each item I may be interested in scanned (I don't think the cast members have that much time to spare!).  This list I have has been compiled from many guests (including myself), visiting many times and it is also refreshed quite often to keep it as "up to date" as possible.  You certainly do not need a list and you can follow the list of snack options on the Downloadable Dining Plan Brochure from the WDW website, but it does not list all of the specific options that are available to you, only the basics.  I hope this helps and my recommendation to you is "do what is easiest for you" and if carrying around a list is not for you then just ask a cast member if in doubt....this works fine too!

    Have a magical day!
