Great grand pop is 82 years old and is in a w/c. On oxygen. Does he have to pay full price to get into the parks ?

Hi, James!  I went to Walt Disney World one time with my dad.  He had recently lost his second leg and was in a wheel chair.  He expected not to be able to do too much in the theme parks (boy was he wrong!), and when we took him up to the ticket window, he asked if there was a senior citizen discount.  I'll never forget the cast member's answer - "Everyone is young again at Walt Disney World, so no, we don't have senior citizen discounts!"  So Grandpop will have to pay full price to get into the parks.

What you may find that would be helpful to your great granddad is the Guest Assistance Card.  You can obtain this card at Guest Services, and it will basically allow Grandpop and the party he is traveling with to bypass some of the lines and the long waits.  Where it is possible, they will put you in a Fast Pass line, or there may be a separate entrance for wheelchair guests.  You may also find an alternate waiting area for some attractions.  Whatever they can do to make things easier for Grandpop, they will do.

Some of the attractions will even have vehicles that accommodate a wheelchair.  Grandpop will surely feel young again riding through It's a Small World with the family!

I hope you all have a wonderful vacation.  How magical that you will get to share it with your great grandfather!
