    You all are so great! Coming to WDW 9/7-9/14 with DH, DD<3 and DD1. I have no idea how DDs will react to the many 3-D movie type attractions. Any suggestions on which to try first so I can determine if they can handle noise/effects? Thank you!

    Thanks for writing in with such a great question.  My two boys reacted very differently to 3-D attractions.  My oldest absolutely loved them from his first experience (Muppet Vision 3D at Hollywood Studios) and my little guy was terrified at Mickey's PhilharMagic at Magic Kingdom when he was just over two years old.  Now that they are a bit older, they are both 3D fans, but I do think it's wise to proceed with caution with tiny tots to ensure that, what is meant to be a fun experience, doesn't end up being too scary.

    I think a great attraction to "test the waters with" is Toy Story Mania! at Hollywood Studios.  It's a slow moving, interactive 4D ride, that can introduce your kids to the concept of things "jumping out at them," but also has lots of other fun "stuff" going on to distract them, including Toy Story characters and a series of midway games that are a blast to play.

    If your kids do well with Toy Story, I'd suggest moving on to either Muppet Vision or Mickey's PhilharMagic.  It's Tough to be a Bug at Animal Kingdom tends to be the most frightening of the 3-D offerings at Disney for small children, so I'd hold off on this attraction until your kids are a bit older.  Keep in mind that with any of the "theater-style" attractions, including Muppet Vision, Mickey's PhilharMagic and It's Tough to be a Bug, you can absolutely exit before the show is over if your children become frightened.
