I am from Great Britain, and have a holiday booked with a UK company. Can I purchase a Disney Dining Plan when I arrive at my Disney Hotel (Pop Century) or do I need to pre-order before leaving the UK?

Hi Kevin and welcome to planDisney!

My family are big fans of Disney Dining Plans and have used these many times, over the years, during previous visits to Walt Disney World. We find that having one really helps us to budget for our holiday as we know that the majority of our meals will be paid for before we arrive. This, in turn, means that we can focus on using our spending money on other essentials which, in my case, would be another spirit jersey and pair of mouse ears to add to my collection.

Going back to your question, Kevin, it is not possible to add a Disney Dining Plan to your existing Hotel + Ticket package upon arrival at your Disney Resort hotel - they must be added in advance.

I am sure that if you contact the company who you have made your booking with, they will be able to add a Disney Dining Plan to your existing Hotel + Ticket package without issue.

The last time I enquired about doing this with the Walt Disney Travel Company (www.disneyholidays.co.uk), here in the UK, I was told that all modifications to existing bookings, including the addition of a Disney Dining Plan to an existing Hotel + Ticket package, must be made at least 8-days prior to your arrival date.

If you made your booking through a different, third-party travel agent, you will need to contact them directly to check this as their booking terms and conditions may vary.

I can't let you go, Kevin, without mentioning that my absolute favourite Special Event - Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party will be taking place during your visit. I cannot recommend this enough - it's the perfect way to celebrate Halloween (albeit slightly earlier than the day itself). It's also a great way to see Magic Kingdom Park in a different light not to mention the brilliant Mickey's Boo-To-You Halloween Parade and Disney's Not-So-Spooky Spectacular both of which are exclusive to the the Halloween parties.

I hope that this information has been of use to you. Please feel free to re-visit us, here at planDisney, if we can be of any further help with the planning of your trip.

Wishing you a magical holiday filled with memories which will last a lifetime!
