    What about gratuity ? We have the deluxe meal plan purchased and didnt know if it is charged to your room. Or you leave the tip at the time of service.

    Hi Thad,

    If your party is 6 or more, a gratuity of 18% will automatically be added to your bill; otherwise, gratuity is at your discretion.  Obviously, you'll certainly want to leave a tip for your server, but the percentage is up to you.  We generally tip somewhere between 15-20% depending on the restaurant and how high maintenance we were as guests.

    As far as handling the payment of gratuity. Your bill will be brought to you just as if you weren't on a dining plan.  It will show any extras that you purchased - alcoholic beverages, appetizers, etc.  You'll add a tip and settle your bill.  If you added charging privileges to your room key when you checked into your resort, you can simply charge using that.  You can also pay the difference in cash or using another credit card.
