How are gratuities paid with a meal plan? Are they automatically charged to your credit card, or can you pay cash when you are there? There are 6 of us eating together but we have 2 different meal plans.

    Hello Sandra,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! With a family of six, I really love the value of the Disney Dining Plan, especially now that my kids are a bit older and can enjoy some of the fabulous offerings on the Adult menus. It's also great to have the option of different Plans since during each of our visits we like to try new Restaurants, so we choose a Plan that fits with the Dining Experiences we would like to book.

Gratuities are not included with Disney Dining Plan packages, however, for parties of six (6) or more, an 18% gratuity charge is automatically added to the bill and can be paid by either cash or credit card. Since your Party has two (2) different meal Plans, you will be billed separately, and the gratuity would not be automatically added to your bill.

I hope this information helps in planning your visit. Please stop back by if you have any additional vacation planning questions!

    Magical wishes,
    Susan
