A seven-night cruise is a great itinerary length, with plenty of time to explore the ship between visiting amazing ports of call. I'd love to share
more about gratuities, so you know what to expect for your sailing. It is customary to give gratuities to the amazing crew members who serve you in the dining room and who care for your stateroom throughout the sailing. The current suggested gratuity amount is $16.00 per day, per guest. This suggested gratuity amount is subject to change. For a seven-night sailing, this would equal $112.00 per guest in your stateroom. For your convenience, you can pre-pay your gratuities. If you do not pay your gratuities before your sailing, the amount will automatically be added to your onboard account.
If you receive exceptional service, you are always welcome to add gratuities, either in cash or to your onboard account. Before the final night of your sailing, you will receive envelopes and a receipt indicating the total amount of gratuities from your party for each Crew Member who receives gratuities (dining room server, assistant server, and head server, as well as stateroom host). You can add cash to this envelope if you'd like and hand-deliver it at dinner on your final evening onboard.
I don't often travel with much cash, so I prefer to stop by the
Guest Services desk to request an additional tip be added to my onboard account. I'll share a tip: it's best to do this mid-cruise, to avoid longer lines as you get close to the end of your sailing.
