I am a Granny trying to please her granddaughter. Is there a restaurant that serves waffles shaped like Minnie. I know we can find Mickey but she wants Minnie ones. We will be there in December. I appreciate your time and information.

    Hi Mary Sandra,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It makes my heart so happy to hear that you’ll be visiting Walt Disney World with your sweet granddaughter, and that you’re trying to sprinkle some pixie dust on her visit. Plus, she’s got great taste: I absolutely agree that Minnie Mouse is a Queen and everything is better with polka dots and bows!

I’m not sure if you’ve heard, but Mickey and Minnie Mouse are celebrating their 90th birthdays this year, and there is a party going on in Magic Kingdom Park. There are all kinds of fun birthday treats available – and one of the options is a Mickey and Minnie Waffle Sundae at Sleepy Hollow! This is the only place Minnie Waffles are available, and the party ends on September 30. I know you said you’ll be visiting in December, and I’m sending some polka-dotted pixie dust that those Minnie Waffles are so popular that they stay around or show up as part of a new treat that’s available during your visit. Be sure to read the Disney Parks Blog for the latest news – they do Foodie Updates pretty regularly, along with other stories about fun new meals, treats, and drinks around the theme parks, resorts, and Disney Springs.

Mary Sandra, since your granddaughter is a major Minnie fan, I have to recommend that you take the time to meet her at a character dining experience. My current favorite place to meet Minnie is Minnie’s Beach Bash brunch at Cape May Café at Disney’s Beach Club Resort. The characters are in their seaside costumes, and they are so much fun to meet – plus, that buffet is really delicious, with lots of different options. I highly recommend wearing a pair of Minnie Mouse ears, a polka-dotted dress, or Minnie t-shirt when you meet her, because she gets so excited when she sees Minnie style!

I hope you love every magical moment of your Grand Adventure this December. It’s the perfect time to visit, with so much festive fun and holiday chEAR all around Walt Disney World Resort, from the holly-jolly holiday celebrations in each theme park to the gorgeous decorations in each resort to the delicious treats for your ho-ho-hungry tummies. Enjoy your together time!

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Robyn
