Hi there, Elizabeth! Welcome to planDisney!
You have such cool grandsons to be going to a skateboard camp after their Disney cruise! Or should I say, cool adult family members who are coordinating all these fun activities for them! It's definitely shaping up to be a great summer for them, indeed!
I understand that it would be much easier for your grandsons to bring their skateboards on the Disney cruise ship, so that they can take them to their skateboard camp immediately after. Unfortunately, as skateboards are one of the wheeled recreational items that are
prohibited on board, they are not allowed to be brought on board. I also verified with Disney Cruise Line that these items cannot be stored upon embarkation and then picked up when debarking the ship on the last day. This means that they cannot bring them to be stored, even if they won’t be using them at all on board, as they might be confiscated without return.
Elizabeth, I understand if this was not the answer you were hoping for. I also understand wanting to bring things on board that may be on that Prohibited Items List, but know that Disney Cruise Line always makes our best interests and safety their utmost priority.
While we’re on the topic of fun sports, I want to make a fun suggestion, and that’s if your grandsons are into other types of sports, they should visit the
Wide World of Sports Deck while on board the Disney Magic! There are so many fun things to do here, such as basketball and ping-pong, all with panoramic ocean views all around!
Elizabeth, I hope that I was able to offer clarification about the skateboards. I wish you and your family the most glorious memories together on board! Please sail back to planDisney if you have any more questions.
Bon Voyage,
Rana
